Dr. Fredrick Colley

Microbiology & Microscopy Supervisor Ph.D. Microbiolgy, Arizona State University, Tempe, 1965; M.P.H. Epidemiology, University of California Berkeley, 1973; M.A. Biology, San Diego State University, 1962; B.A. Biology, University of California Berkeley, 1959

Oversees microbiological tests, validates and reviews analytical results. Verifies that training of technicians is up to date, assists in internal audits, serves as advisor for issues related to bacterial indentification, fungal and algal matters. Performs all asbestos and microscopic analyses.

Chris Vallerga

Inorganic Supervisor B.S. Environmental Science, Oregon State University, 1999

Supervises the inorganic lab. Provides technical and personnel management for the section. Organizes and schedules the analytical testing program with consideration for sample holding times. Answers technical questions and sets up validating for new methodologies. Performs ICP/MS analysis.

Rob Taylor

Lead Microbiologist B.S. Molecular and Microbiology, Portland State University, 2006

Over ten years of experience in a variety of laboratory fields with an emphasis on Environmental and Food Microbiology. Rob oversees all operations of the microbiology department, including analyses and quality control. He is responsible for implementation of novel procedures and the fine-tuning of existing protocols.

Mark Leed

Project Manager, B.S. in Geology, University of Idaho, 1984

Mark has 17 years of experience serving clients at environmental laboratories.  Helps industrial and municipal clients develop testing programs for drinking water, waste water and storm water. Schedules sample collections and pickups, and assists with sample reception.  Reviews analytical reports and helps clients with report interpretation.  Specializes in helping public water systems stay in compliance with drinking water testing requirements.

Richard Reid

Project Management, Customer Service and Marketing. B.S. in Chemistry, Oregon State University, 1972; M.S. in Analytical Chemistry, Oregon State University, 1974.

Oversees marketing and project management with 40 years experience Richard effectively manages projects from the initial price quotation stage to the final report submission. Richard specializes in storm water, wastewater, soil/ground water and unique projects. He works closely with industries and consultants, setting up testing protocols, scheduling sampling events, and monitoring project progress as required by the clients’ permits. Richard also performs marketing services for PIXIS Labs.
